He will report to Timo Lumme, managing director IOC television and marketing services.
Chupin spent 14 years at Eurosport where he was responsible for the acquisition of television and new media rights and executive producer for football and motor sports.
His role at Eurosport involved collaboration with international federations as well as event organisers.
The new position will manage the relationship with existing broadcast partners, drive coverage of the Olympic Games and seek opportunities within the global media landscape.
