The inaugural Barclays Premiership Global Fans Report 2005 analyses the opinions of more than 26,000 fans from 170 different countries.
Manchester United's Old Trafford emerged as the top stadium - 22 per cent of fans voted it the best stadium in the world
Jose Mourinho was the favourite manager with 28 per cent of the vote
Ronaldinho is the footballer fans would most like to see playing in the Barclays Premiership (39 per cent)
Thierry Henry was voted favourite current player (17 per cent)
Eric Cantona was voted favourite player of all time (15 per cent)
Nineteen per cent said players influence their hairstyle and the clothes they buy.
Players (52 per cent), goals (47 per cent) and style of football (31 per cent) were voted by global fans as the most appealing aspects of top-flight English football.
Italian and Portuguese fans bucked the trend - they voted 'atmosphere' as the most attractive part of the Barclays Premiership (67 per cent and 57 per cent respectively).
Interestingly, nearly half of the respondents from Brazil (46 per cent) revealed that they followed the Barclays Premiership because of the style of football.
The analysis was carried out as part of ongoing research by Barclays, title sponsor of the Barclays Premiership, to better understand the attitudes and lifestyles of football fans around the world.
