PLAYER ONE BIDS TO BOX CLEVER

Player One Limited, a publisher of games and content for mobile phones, and promoters Sports Network have agreed a sponsorship deal for a World Championship Boxing event at London’s ExCeL arena.

Player One will be working with event co-sponsor the News of the World newspaper, creating a series of cross-media promotions to support the event.

The multi-level sponsorship package will include ring branding – ring posts, ring bumpers and ring canvas – and signage at all event press conferences and weigh-ins plus a number of ambient and in-stadia branding opportunities.

The event has live primetime Saturday night television coverage on commercial free-to-air channel ITV1 with extended coverage on ITV4.

Player One will leverage the deal to promote its mobile phone game 'Mike Tyson Boxing'.

Publicity and media partnership specialists, The Promotions Factory, brokered the deal with Ed Simons of Sports Network who own all rights associated with the event, which takes place on Saturday, December 10.

It will feature Audley Harrison taking on Danny Williams, who recently defeated Iron Mike Tyson, plus British Olympic hero Amir Khan continuing his professional career.
