BETFAIR SIGNS TO AFL

Australian Rules Football has signed a deal with bookmaking agency Betfair that will deliver the league A$7.5million to A$10million over the next five years.

Separate deals have been agreed with Betfair and gaming company Tabcorp.

Some A$300million is wagered annually on the AFL (Australian Football League), according to Australia's Herald Sun.

Rival bookmaking outlets and the racing industry had been concerned over integrity issues attached to a betting outlet that allows a punter to play bookmaker.
