SOCCER CHAIRMAN QUITS

Tagged in &

The chairman of Portuguese soccer club Sporting Lisbon has resigned.

Antonio Dias da Cunha is the latest major figure to quit the club since a disappointing start to the season. He follows executive director Paulo de Andrade and head coach Jose Peseiro who both walked out earlier in the week.
Dias da Cunha had been in charge of the club since 2000.
