INTERACTIVE TV-MOBILE OPPORTUNITY FOR EUROPEAN FANS

Txtstation and Plazamedia have forged a partnership to launch a new viewing experience for European sports fans using their mobile phone.

TxtstationTV, Txtstation’s technology for interactive television, will be implemented by Plazamedia during live in-game broadcasts.

It covers a range of sports for German-language live TV, offering fan participation through TXT/SMS voting while offering viewers the chance to win prizes.

Plazamedia GmbH, an EM.TV Group company, is a full-service TV provider and the largest German sports TV producer. Plaza will be using their relationships to offer broadcasters a turn key solution effective immediatley.

Matt Coleman, president of Txtstation, said: "The Txtstation experience engages viewers in real time and creates new standards in broadcasting where a sponsor can now integrate their brand within a game, while the broadcaster drives TV ratings."

The TxtstationTV animated graphics display viewers' votes instantly and allow programmable triggers based on responses.

Txtstation will also collect valuable demographic data, and also offers viewers a chance to join mobile clubs.
