The event will now be staged at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre on January 19 and 20, 2006.
The Staffordshire-based company confirmed its participation within hours of being informed of the new venue.
The unchanged conference programme will feature a number of expert speakers including Peter Ryan, security consultant to the International Olympic Committee who has advised on the last three Olympic Games.
Programme director Kevin Roberts said: “Each day we learned of individuals and companies eager to share the knowledge of some of the world’s leading experts in this field but bitterly disappointed that the dates and venue made it impossible for them to attend.
“The consistent message was that London was the location of choice and that early 2006 would be the optimum time. As our primary concern is to deliver an event that meets the requirements of the sector in every possible respect, we listened carefully and acted.”
The International Sports Security Summit is presented by Rushmans and partnered by SportBusiness International, the leading magazine serving the global sports sector.
Over two days, experts from sports federations, police and intelligence services, government departments and the global security services sectors will draw on their first-hand experience to present papers and lead discussions.
Complementing the conference will be a select exhibition of leading-edge products and services.
