Coca-Cola Championship soccer side Sheffield United has appointed Jason Rockett as its new chief executive.
He will take on the role from November 1, 2005.
Rockett, 36, will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the business and generating revenues from non-football-related ventures.
The former professional footballer is a qualified chartered surveyor and a director of the Scarborough Development Group, a property development company (controlled by Sheffield United's Chairman, Kevin McCabe).
