Former Super Bowl winner William ‘The Fridge’ Perry has thrown his considerable weight behind a bid to bring NFL action to the new-look Wembley Stadium in London.
Talks are understood to be underway between stadium chiefs and NFL officials about staging a game at the venue when it is officially opened next year.
The original Wembley was demolished to make way for the new modern state-of-the-art venue.
The former Chicago Bears star said: "NFL players would love to be part of a major event in a venue like this which is shaping up to be one of the most incredible stadiums in the world.”
