The circuit, just outside London, said over 72,000 people crowded into the venue over the race weekend, with 46,000 watching the two main races on Sunday.
Former Formula One driver Jonathan Palmer, now chief executive of MotorSport Vision, the company he heads which took over the running of Brands from Octagon in 2003, said: “The event went superbly well.
“I look forward to welcoming A1GP back again next season and making the 2006 event an even bigger and better spectacle.”
Meanwhile, A1 chiefs have said they are ‘working on’ problems with TV coverage which blighted the qualifying sessions. Timings were not displayed on screen, leaving viewers and commentators struggling to easily follow the progress of the cars.
