ESPN Classic Sport has snapped up the rights to 60 European cup soccer finals from UEFA.
European soccer’s governing body awarded a five-year global rights deal for access to UEFA Cup, European Cup and UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup finals dating back to 1956.
The agreement, allows first ESPN Classic Sport, and then ESPN’s global networks in America, Africa, Asia, Australia and the Middle East, to show the games.
The UEFA club competitions finals will debut on ESPN in autumn 2005.
