The car manufacturer will be the exclusive partner of transport services for the event in France.
It will be Peugeot’s second tournament as a global sponsor following its involvement in Rugby World Cup 2003 in Australia.
Peugeot has been a sponsor of rugby, tennis and golf, and has been a sponsor of the French Tennis Open since 1984. In rugby it sponsors the French club team Stade Toulousain, English club Coventry, the Argentina national team and the Portuguese and Chile Rugby Unions.
The World Cup's commercial programme will incorporate six global partners, with Peugeot joining SociC)tC) GC)nC)rale as the partners announced so far.
France’s biggest broadcaster TF1 has been appointed as the host broadcaster for the tournament.
