WATCHDOG MEETS LONDON 2012 ORGANISING COMMITTEE

London 2012 officials were in positive mood after their first meeting with the International Olympic Committee's Coordination Commission.

The commission's chair Dennis Oswald met with London 2012 chairman Sebastian Coe ahead of a full commission visit next year.

"It was an excellent start to our relationship," said Coe, after working through a 'comprehensive agenda.'

The commission will oversee the organising committee's work in the run-up to the 2012 Games.

Coe said Oswald was positive about the early work that has already been done, and the commitment to producing a long-term sporting legacy.

Oswald carried out the same supervisory role ahead of the Athens Olympics in 2004.
