INTERNATIONAL CLUB TWENTY20 CHAMPIONSHIP

Reigning domestic Twenty20 champions in 20:20 cricket from around theworld will compete in a three-day, six team tournament in the UK nextmonth.

The competition takes place at Grace Road, Leicester from September 15
to 17.

It will feature Twenty20 champions from England (Somerset Sabres),
South Africa (Nashua Titans), Sri Lanka (Chilaw Marians) and Pakistan
(Faisalabad Wolves), the only countries that currently run domestic
Twenty20 competitions.

Hosts Leicestershire Foxes will also participate, having won the
English Twenty20 Cup in 2004. There will also be a PCA Masters XI which
features a number of England stars from the past and present.

In the first round group stage, to be played on Thursday and Friday,
teams will be awarded two points for a win and one for a tie with the
top two teams in each group go through to SaturdayC-s semi-finals. The
winners will contest the final that evening.

The tournament has been organised by Investors in Cricket, a venture
created by a group of leasearch methods such as semiotics to track
purchasing behaviour
