Delmonte has been communications manager since 2001, and will assume the newly-created position on September 19.
Communications executive Will Lambe is to take on Delmonte’s current role.
Delmonte will report to chief executive Greg Nichols, with responsibility for overall BHB policy communication, board administrative matters and, working with the chief executive, political and legislative issues. He will also act as BHB’s company secretary.
Lambe will become the main point of contact for media and public enquiries and where appropriate act as spokesperson on all areas of BHB’s work.
