MOBILE AND BROADBAND CONFERENCE GATHERS STEAM

The latest SportBusiness conference, ‘Mobile and Broadband: The opportunities for sport’, has added a number of new speakers and two new sponsors to the roster.

The conference, held in association with law firm Addleshaw Goddard on October 13 in London, welcomes Arne Rees, head of new media, UEFA; David Moreau, CEO, FoneStarz (specialists in mobile personalisation services) and Pete Russell, CEO, Player One (experts in interactive game design).

Dreamteam Interactive Ltd (www.dreamteaminteractive.com) join Txtstation and Sportev as event sponsors.

Dreamteam CEO Tony Ianniello said: "The opportunity to provide a differentiated value-added sports-based mobile service and promote this to peers and senior influential decision-makers in all target markets was very alluring."

Also signing up as sponsors are Skidata (www.skidata.com).

VP Thomas Wiedner said: "The mobile phone has evolved from a gadget to an essential tool for organising everyday life. Consequentially, it is the perfect basis for modern ways of ticketing, especially for sports events.

“Just think, what else are you carrying around practically 24 hours a day? You can use it for booking as well as for ticketing, as a personal ID card etc. This conference will be an exchange of ideas for what else is possible.”

Places are now limited for the conference, featuring 90 key decision-makers from new media specialists to rights holders such as the Premier League, PGA, ATP and ICC.
