The producer of roof windows and skylights agreed the deal with Clipper Ventures plc, the marine sports promoters.
It will see the event renamed as the 'VELUX 5 Oceans'.
The longest race for any individual in any sport sees sailors cover more than 30,000 miles circumnavigating the world via the five great Capes.
The race starts in Bilbao, Spain on October 22, 2006 and will take the anticipated 20-strong fleet to Fremantle, Western Australia and then onto Florida USA, before a transatlantic sprint back to Bilbao in Spring 2007.
The deal was brokered by WPP sports marketing agency Global Sportnet GmbH.
