The series will run outside the traditional motorsport season, kicking-off at Brands Hatch, Great Britain on 25 September, 2005.
It will involve national teams competing against each other in identical cars with no electronic driver aids.
An announcement about the South African round of the ‘World Cup of Motorsport’ is expected next week.
