Record numbers of viewers are tuning into cricket following this summer's compelling Ashes Series, according to a sports popularity tracking service.
TNSSport says watching of cricket reached 26 per cent of the UK population, the highest ever recorded in four years tracking the game.
It is five per cent up on last August's figure, meaning another 2 million are watching cricket this year compared to last year.
Last weekend’s Channel 4 audiences peaked at 8.9 million viewers.
