LEXMARK CONTINUES NAMING RIGHTS DEAL

Lexmark has extended its naming rights sponsorship of Australia's Lexmark Indy 300 for another three years.

The global printing solutions company has signed for 2006, 2007 and 2008. It first sponsored the event in early 2003.

Lexmark Australia and New Zealand managing director, Graham Kittle, said: “Sponsorship of the Lexmark Indy 300 is key to increasing our exposure in the local marketplace.

"Aligning with such a high profile, professionally executed sporting event such as Indy was a key strategic decision to ensure we continue to build on the already strong business growth we’ve been experiencing in recent years."

“The success of the Lexmark Indy 300 is evident in the record crowd numbers,” he added.

Meanwhile, Ken Freer has been appointed director of IMG Motorsport and general manager of Lexmark Indy 300. IMG is the event promoter.

Freer replaces James O’Brien in the roles after the 2005 event from October 20-23.
