With less than six months to go before the Turin Winter Olympics, half of the one million tickets for the Games have been sold.
Organising committee TOROC is said to be happy with sales so far given that Italians are not used to buying seats so far in advance of an event.
Tickets for the Turin Games range in price from 20 euros to 600 euros, while opening ceremony seats top out at 850 euros, reports aroundtherings.com
The 2006 Winter Olympic Games take place in Turin and the surrounding mountains from February 10 to 26.
