It's not known yet if the Olympic tournament in Turin is at risk, just six months away.
According to aroundtherings.com, the problem is not the Olympics portion of the agreement, but the parts covering payments from the NHL to acquire players from Europe.
The Czechs want to see more money from those deals, while the Russians are said to want to deal directly with the NHL on a case-by-case basis.
Besides the Olympics, other international tournaments, such as the World Championships, are included in the agreement.
