TICKETS.COM VENTURES INTO GREECE

Tickets.com and newly established ticketing services company TicketHour (a division of BRINIA S.A) have entered a partnership that will see Tickets.com solutions offered to venues throughout Greece.

Athens based TicketHour was founded by president George V. Bolos and vice president and CEO Stefanos Kakarantzas, both of whom served on the organising committee for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games - Bolos as general manager and Kakarantzas as ticketing director.

“During the Olympics there was an extremely positive reaction from Greek spectators regarding automated ticket purchase,” explained Kakarantzas. “We have identified a significant opportunity within the Greek market to develop a ticketing service that will respond to growing demands of spectators and venues.”

TicketHour plans to transform the way tickets are sold in Greece by operating a business dedicated to the supply and management of an automated ticket system and the direct sale and distribution of tickets to consumers.

Distribution methods will include internet, call centres and outlets.

Said Bolos: “We also recognised the need to provide our clients with the opportunity to build their audiences and the Tickets.com solution meets this need by offering comprehensive data capture and marketing tools.”

TicketHour becomes the third European partner for Tickets.com joining TicketTurk in Turkey and TicketOne in Italy.
