Andy Salmon, chief executive of the LGU, said: "We're delighted and thank them [the BBC] for their continued commitment to women's golf.
"We have achieved our aim of permitting the widest possible audience to watch the world's best players."
The 2006 event will be played at Royal Lytham and St Anne's, while St Andrews will stage the tournament in 2007.
