Tagged in &

A major probe has been launched into German computer chip firm Infineon amid allegations of corruption centred around the firm's motorsport sponsorship.

Senior executive Andreas von Zitzewitz quit the company at the weekend following police raids. He and another manager at the firm are at the centre of claims they received six-figure kick-backs for arranging certain sponsorship contracts.
Infineon have previously held arrangements with the Ferrari and Jordan Formula One teams, in addition to Le Mans winning Audi Sport.
