JORDAN SIGNS WITH ECCLESTONE

Formula One team Jordan have joined Ferrari and Red Bull in committing themselves to the F1 motorsports series beyond 2007.

Jordan, which will be renamed Midland next year after Alex Shnaider's takeover, have signed up with Bernie Ecclestone until 2012.

"Bernie Ecclestone was instrumental in bringing Midland to Formula One and from the very beginning Alex Shnaider was supportive of his vision for the future of Formula One and the world championship," said Jordan managing director Colin Kolles.

The agreement between Ecclestone and the 10 teams expires in two years' time, however a number of teams and car manufacturers have threatened to form a rival series from 2008.
