The Olympics Bill was announced in May and will now move forward after London won the bid to host the Games.
The main aim of the bill is to create an Olympic Delivery Authority to ensure all infrastructure is ready on time and on budget, but part of it deals with advertising.
A draft of the legislation says: "In line with International Olympic Committee requirements, the bill would regulate commercial exploitation of the Games. Olympic symbols and intellectual property would be given additional legal protection. Controls would be placed on advertising and street trading around venues. Ticket touting would be made a criminal offence."
Details of the bill are expected to be revealed on Thursday with the first Parliamentary debate also expected this week, reports aroundtherings.com
The Department for Culture, Media and Sport hopes to pass the legislation before the end of the year.
