BULGARIAN DEAL AGREED FOR 2006 WORLD CUP

Infront Sports & Media Bulgarian National Television (BNT) has agreed a deal to cover all matches of the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

The agreement with Infront Sports & Media includes coverage of the Final Draw for the qualifying teams that takes place at the end of this year.

The agreement also included the final of the 16-match FIFA Confederations Cup 2005, with Brazil claiming victory in Frankfurt on June 29.

BNT is the national broadcaster for Bulgaria and was the rights holder for the 2002 World Cup in Korea/Japan.

With a year to go to the 2006 FIFA World Cup, world sales for broadcast coverage are said to have reached 87 per cent of the potential total.

Five teams have already qualified including Japan, Iran, Korea Republic, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, joining the host country Germany.
