NEW FACES ON IOC EXECUTIVE BOARD

Lambis Nikolaou of Greece and and Japanese member Chiharu Igaya have been elected vice-presidents of the IOC’s executive board.

As Vitaly Smirnov has reached the end of his four-year term on the board and Un Yong Kim has resigned from the IOC, there were two vice-president positions up for election during this Session.

The other members who stood for election to these positions were Richard Kevan Gosper (AUS) and Ching-Kuo Wu (TPE).

IvC!n DibC3s (PER) was the other candidate for the post.

Barbara Kendall replaced Susie O’Neill on the IOC’s Athletes’ Commission following the resignation of O’Neill from the IOC and the Athletes’ Commission.
