The European Athletic Association has appointed Christian Milz as its new director general to be based at its head office in Lausanne.
Milz, who is Swiss, holds a degree in economics and was previously working in banking before taking up a role as vice president with IMG Suisse, according to www.european-athletics.org
He will take up his position in late September.
The current EAA general secretary Till Lufft reaches retirement age this year.
