Slavkov appeared before the IOC yesterday to plead his case, but 82 members voted to expel him, with 12 against and 5 abstentions.
The Bulgarian tried to convince the IOC that the BBC manipulated the video to wrongly implicate him in the vote-buying scheme, reports aroundtherings.com
After presenting his defence, there were no questions from his colleagues.
The programme, aired last August, depicted Slavkov and several other individuals as agents who claimed to be able to trade in the votes of IOC members.
Slavkov, 65, was elected to the IOC in 1987. He also serves as president of the Bulgarian National Olympic Committee and the Bulgarian Football Union. For now, he retains those titles.
