Under the amended constitution alcohol sponsors may be considered for senior events where there is no junior component.
Marketing director Greg Brown said: “The Association will continue to have a strong stance against binge drinking and yob culture. Any deal would need to uphold values of responsible drinking and behaviour in order to be accepted by the executive board.”
Several new appointments were made to the executive board at the same meeting.
Former UK Sport CEO Richard Callicott returned to the post of president after a 10-year absence and former England and Great Britain international Richard Dobell accepted the role of playing director.
