The city-state will deploy more than 2,000 police, army and civil defence personnel to ensure tight security for the July 6-9 meetings.
Barricades will be set up and some roads closed during the meetings while delegates will be closely screened for weapons before being allowed to enter the venue, reports GamesBids.com
More than 3,500 delegates, including IOC members, government leaders and officials, royalty and sports stars are expected to arrive in Singapore for the meetings.
To date 1,250 journalists, photographers and television technicians representing 311 media organisations are accredited for the event.
IOC president Jacques Rogge believes the contest is extremely close and Moscow deputy mayor and bid leader Valery Shantsev insists Moscow, the supposed outsider, can still win next week’s vote.
