The race takes place at Cowes from August 26 to 28.
The Gillette MACH3 NITRO Gel Powerboat P1 British Grand Prix (Rounds 7 & 8 of the 2005 UIM Powerboat P1 World Championship) is the feature event of a three-day festival of racing with more than 70 boats expected to compete in a series of championship events.
The organisers, KBL Powerboat Management Ltd, aim to establish the British Grand Prix as one of sports' blue riband events.
P1 events are broadcast to 48 countries worldwide.
