It follows the company’s acquisition of UK subsidiary, Firstwave Technologies, Inc.
The UK office, led by managing director Shaun Lucas, will continue to serve its key customers including the Football Association, Rugby Football Union and the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet.
Chairman David Simmons, formerly Firstwave’s COO and president, will lead the company’s initiative to build on its current client base and sports relationships.
Simmons is a seasoned executive in the international sports event and NGB marketplace, serving as the COO of the 1996 Atlanta Paralympic Games, managing director for the Foxhall Cup, COO of the 1998 USA v Russia Davis Cup match and venue executive director for the Los Angeles venue of the 1994 soccer World Cup.
He will also manage the US office, based in Atlanta, Georgia.
“The infusion of additional financial capital from outside investors and the relief from the quarterly focus of a public company will enable us to not only expand our current client base but branch into consulting and other sports-related ventures,” said Simmons.
