The tournament kicks off in Germany on June 15 and the distribution represents a 60 per cent increase since Infront took over responsibility for worldwide television sales in 2001.
The tournament - involving regional champions from around the world – involves eight teams - Germany , Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Greece, Japan, Mexico and Tunisia.
More than 170 countries will take coverage of the event , making it the second biggest FIFA tournament after the World Cup.
Extra interest is said to have arisen from FIFA’s decision to hold the event every four years (instead of every two), always a year ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
