CHINA TO HOST SOCCER TOURNAMENT

Chinese Special Event Management Group and their International agency, RAMP Management Group, have launched the first European/South American soccer tournament in Nanjing and Suzhou, China.

The three teams confirmed are Feyenoord (Holland), Espanyol (Spain), and Nacional (Champions of Uruguay).

Hu Jian, general manager of the Chinese Special Event Management Group, said: “Each team has confirmed that they will bring their top available players which will make it extremely exciting for all Chinese football fans.

“We have also decided that the lack of a Chinese team will raise the competitiveness from all three teams.”

The tournament will feature a round robin format with each team playing against each another. The first game will be at the new 60,000-seat Nanjing Stadium, home to the 10th China Games in the autumn.

“In working with CSEMG, we are truly excited to be able to put together such a tournament in China with three successful international teams and believe that this tournament will be the groundwork for an annual tournament” says Edmund Chu, president of RAMP Management Group.
