JOHNNIE WALKER CLASSIC RETURNS TO PERTH

Tagged in &

The 2006 Johnnie Walker Classic will return to Perth, Australia, next season after an absence of three years.

It is Asia-Pacific’s best known golf tournament and a fixture on The European Tour International Schedule since 1992.

Presented by Johnnie Walker, the Scotch whisky brand, the 14th Johnnie Walker Classic will be played at The Vines Resort and Country Club in Western Australia from February 9 to 12, 2006.

Western Australia Tourism Minister, Mark McGowan, said: “The Johnnie Walker Classic will be a great tourism draw card, bringing in visitors from interstate and overseas.

“The other advantage is that The Vines is a public golf course, meaning that visitors and local golfers can play the same course as the game’s superstars.”

It was confirmed that the 2009 Johnnie Walker Classic will also be played in Perth.
