South Florida-based ACR, a leader in safety and survival technologies for the marine industry, will supply the racing teams with emergency position indicating radio beacons, search and rescue transponders, survival radios and other high-tech safety equipment.
Each boat will be equipped with technology that adds latitude/longitude coordinates to any emergency signal transmitted.
Each team will also be equipped with technology secured in the life-rafts as well as a new generation transponder that features intensified radar tracking and a built-in test mode with visual and audible feedback.
