Under the agreement, Gerflor’s Taraflex will become the ‘Official ATP Court Surface.’
The governing body of men’s professional tennis also has selected Taraflex as the surface for the Tennis Masters Cup Shanghai from 2005-2007. The event, which is co-owned by the ATP, the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and Grand Slams, will be played at the new $200 million Qi Zhong Tennis Center in Shanghai, China.

The surface technology is said to provide a compromise between comfort, shock absorption and high performance, allowing players to perform at a world-class level while preserving their physical condition.
