GLAZER EYES PRESENTING RIGHTS

Malcolm Glazer is said to be considering the sale of ‘presenting rights’ for the club’s Old Trafford stadium, as an alternative to a full naming rights deal.

Under the less controversial presenting rights approach, the stadium would be known as ‘Old Trafford in association with’ a sponsor’s name, according to the UK’s Sunday Times newspaper.

Presenting rights would be expected to raise less money than a naming rights deal. The biggest naming rights agreement in Europe is for Munich’s new Allianz Arena, worth £60million over 15 years.

Glazer, the US sports tycoon, recently staged a £790million ($1.5billion) takeover of the Premier League giants, who suffered a trophy-less season after losing Saturday’s FA Cup final to rivals Arsenal.
