The European Seniors Tour will make an historic first visit to Bahrain later this year when Riffa Golf Club hosts the grand finale of its season, the Seniors Tour Championship, from November 10 to 12.
It will see the leading 51 professionals on the Seniors Tour Order of Merit do battle for the lion's share of the $450,000 prize fund.
The championship will be promoted by SP Middle East, a joint venture between SP Holdings PLC and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
SP Middle East has been created to enhance Bahrain's sporting assets and activities, and will be working locally with the Seniors Tour to encourage participation by young people.
