Rugby World Cup Ltd (RWCL) has confirmed the receipt of tenders from Japan, New Zealand and South Africa to host the 2011 World Cup.
In June/July 2005 a team of RWCL representatives will visit each of the three unions to review the tenders as well as the proposed venues and facilities.
A detailed report will then be prepared for the RWCL board. In November 2005 the IRB council will choose the host union.
RWCL chairman Dr Syd Millar said they were “three bids of substance, three excellent bids, and we're very pleased".
