It will open a new headquarters in central London, in a drive to give the company a European presence beyond its original headquarters in Seville, Spain.
MAS will continue to focus on mainstream sport, its main area of expertise being brand development through creation and activation of sponsorship strategies. The company will involve itself in sports event creation, as well as the distribution of event rights and TV programming.
The principal tie-in with Extreme will be between the Group’s television production and distribution arm, Extreme Entertainment. By calling on the resources and infrastructure of the Extreme Group, MAS hopes to offer enhanced packages to potential sponsors and partners, via the group assets.
Juanjo Marquez, managing director at MAS, said: “With the move to central London and with the Extreme Group making a capital investment in the company, we now are now perfectly positioned to take the business to the next level.”
Ben Barrett, managing director, Extreme Entertainment, said: “This is a great move for all of us as MAS will also represent a further string to the bow of Extreme Entertainment, by enhancing our programming catalogue with innovative mainstream sports properties and content for our sales team to sell and distribute to broadcasters around the world.”
MAS’s current projects include The Kappa Cup (soccer) and The KingB4s Cup (tennis).
