It has agreed various deals, mainly in soccer, via its German-based sponsorship consulting agency SMI Sport & Entertainment, Hamburg.
Besides a deal for a large number of qualifiying games to the FIFA World Cup 2006 in Germany, HC6rmann recently struck deals with the soccer federations of Austria, Switzerland, Denmark and Czech Republic, including all home games of the respective national teams.
The company has also purchased an additional WC 2006 qualifier games package from Sportfive.
All agreements include panel advertising and corporate hospitality.
The construction giant also advertised on panels at various matches of the 2004/2005 UEFA Cup season as well as around the Amstel-Cup in the Netherlands.
In Russia HC6rmann has concluded for the first time a deal with last year’s national champions Locomotive Moscov and has extended a contract with this year’s UEFA cup side Zenit St. Petersburg.
All of these commitments were said to “underline HC6rmann’s deep interest in becoming more and more involved in European football”.
HC6rmann also sponsors Slovenia’s Celje Pivovarna Lasko, last year’s Champions League winner in handball. It has also remained official sponsor of the German-based men’s tennis event, the “Gerry Weber Open”, for two more years.
