ONLINE DEAL FOR ICE HOCKEY WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

PLAZAMEDIA, an EM.TV Group subsidiary and Germany's leading sports television producer, has been chosen by MediaZone to produce live Internet coverage of all the games in ice hockey’s 2005 IIHF World Championship.

The competition is one of the largest sports events ever to be offered uninterrupted live online.

It takes place from April 30 to May 15, 2005 in Vienna and Innsbruck, Austria, and will include up to five games per day, with two often taking place simultaneously, and approximately 140 total hours of live streaming.

The online broadcast at www.mediazone.com will attract special interest from the American market as there will be no televised coverage in the US. Fans can only follow Team USA live on the Internet on MediaZone's hockey channel.

With the National Hockey League (NHL) is still on strike, this will be the first chance viewers get to see their favorite NHL stars in action this season.

PLAZAMEDIA will receive the basic signal for the online broadcast via satellite from the host broadcaster for the championships.

The audio and video signals are then encoded live at the PLAZAMEDIA Broadcast Center in Ismaning, Germany, sending the signal in two different bandwidths (400kb and 700kb).

MediaZone is to offer its customers in numerous countries the option of subscribing to all the 2005 IIHF World Championships or watching individual games on a pay-per-view basis. Fans who miss any live game can see a full-length version afterwards.
