It follows Five’s broadcasting of the 2003 event. The competition, which takes place in Germany, is being seen as a forerunner to the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
Five has acquired exclusive TV rights to broadcast every match of the competition live across the UK.
The cup kicks off on June 15 in Cologne with South American champions Argentina playing African Champions Tunisia. It finishes with the final in Frankfurt June 29.
Other participants are champions of the other confederations, Japan, Mexico, Australia and Greece. These six will be joined by World Champions Brazil and host nation Germany.
