2012 BID NEWS: LONDON SUPPORT HITS NEW HIGH

A new poll claims that 79 per cent of Londoners back the city’s bid for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, a rise of 12 per cent since October.

The London 2012 bid team said 1.3 million people had registered their support for the Games since December.

The poll was conducted by ICM Research, an independent polling research company .
