ECB CHIEF TO OUTLINE STRATEGY

The England and Wales Cricket Board’s chief executive David Collier will today unveil the governing body’s strategy for the next five years.

Before a specially invited media audience, Collier will spell out how he sees the sport developing between now and 2009.

Since he took over from Tim Lamb last year, a number of significant changes have been made to the domestic game including the recent introduction of financial awards to county clubs for developing English players rather than importing overseas stars.

However, the ECB also came in for fierce criticism after the award of its recent TV deal which will see no live home England games on terrestrial television.
