Ron Hershberger said he was ‘truly honoured’ after being unanimously elected president of US Figure Skating.

The former first vice-president was elected by the board of directors at a special session staged this week – although will face re-election in just one month’s time.
Hershberger had been acting president since February when previous chief Chuck Foster quit the post.
He said: “I feel truly honoured the board has elected me as president to serve until the election at the May meeting.
“The fact that the board voted unanimously was particularly gratifying. I am pleased to continue performing the duties of the president of US Figure Skating.”
The annual election at the US Figure Skating governing council meeting will take place on May 6 or 7.
